8 Ways to Master the ‘Art of Connection’ – Just by Asking Simple Questions
So I started my own business this year! So far so good. After setting everything up, I decided I wanted to learn more about sales. And since I am happy to already know the best people around me, I started working with the great Michael Katzmann. Never thought Sales could be so much fun!
To learn how powerful the right questions can be, one day Michael challenged me to pitch by only asking questions. At first I struggled – why should I and how can this work?
But more and more I could see clearly the power of questions… Have a look at this piece and shoot me questions back if you like!”

"Is connection the secret of life?"
How did I learn to be successful in my professional career? And why do my fellow human beings play such an important role? (And animals! If you know me, you know how important my beautiful horse is to me and he taught me a lot too… ;)) What do I mean when I speak of “Art of Connection”?
Are professional relationships also real connections? What do we need them for? What are they really giving us? When it comes to relationships, why do we first think of couple relationships, friendships, family? Does the same thing apply at work as in private?
How do we get to know each other as human beings? Why do we want to be close, read our faces, get to know the person behind the team member and the achievement? Is that really what drives us? And what role do empathy and curiosity play in this?
So how do we learn to be connected? Why do we always have to connect with ourselves first? Did you know that Google developed a great program called “Search Inside Yourself” over 10 years ago? Why did I participate and still practice it today? May I introduce you and your team to exercises so that everyone can connect with themselves?
What does “Authentic Relating” mean and why does it play an important role in the business world? Authentic encounter? Why is this the next step, so to speak? How can something that was invented in San Francisco in the late 90’s be a tool with various exercises and games to teach us the skills like curiosity and empathy? What do we need to make a deep, meaningful, human connection quickly?
What happens when people connect, are on the same wavelength, harmonize together, trust each other, know their strengths and weaknesses? When can people best generate and implement new ideas?
Why does every company have to be fast and innovative today? And why can you only manage this when the team plays perfectly together?
Is connection only important to your personal life or does it also apply to your organization? What happens if we work together in the long term, I will share with your team how we want to meet in everyday work? What happens if we create “Art of Connection” together and make your company even more successful as a strong team?
So what do you now think…
Is connection the secret of life?
